Kalypso Nicolaïdis is Professorial Chair of Global Affairs at the EUI School of Transnational Governance in Florence. She directs the Transnational Democracy Programme, the Democratic Odyssey, the EUI democracy cluster, and the Global Peace Tech Hub. A leading scholar of European integration, democratic governance, and global affairs, she bridges academic research with public deliberation and institutional innovation. Her most recent book, A Citizen’s Guide to the Rule of Law: Why We Need to Fight for the Most Precious Human Inventions of All Time, argues for renewing civic commitment to the rule of law amid democratic backsliding.
